Every session of the Section51 workshop is new, aimed at teaching how to align your project and application with overall Australian government policy objectives.
The four sessions are:
- Session 1 Policy. Australian Government policy is explained in depth including how policy is prepared, the role of grants in achieving policy delivery and the legal link between your application and Department outcomes as set out by the ANAO. The diversity of policy across the Albanese Government will be covered.
- Session 2 Square project, round policy. This session provides a process on converting your local government project into Australian Government policy outcomes. Growing Regions and Regional Partnership guidelines will be used to show how and why. We can use your round 2 project application as real case studies
- Session 3 Evidence and attachments. Growing Regions and Regional Partnership required more evidence that any previous grant programs in the history of Australian Government grants. Section51 prepared 18 attachments for GRP round 1 applications. We work through the required attachments for both grant programs.
- Session 4 Should you apply and other stuff. If you do nothing but look at the numbers, 6% successful are not great odds. As you have learnt in the first 3 sessions there is so much more than numbers. We work though the benefit and cost of applying. Other stuff includes State Government applications, funding agreements, reporting, the critical requirement to not be political when it comes to grants under the Albanese government and many more bits and pieces to help you increase your chances of success.
