services are that in just 10 short years Section51 has written successful applications
totaling over 600 million dollars, and has managed the reporting requirements for
hundreds of projects.

Portfolio
Section51 has worked with councils for many years preparing applications and evidence attachments for projects long before grant programs open.
Building Better Regions Fund 4 was opened on 14 November 2019 and closed on 19th December 2019. In 4 short weeks 8,000 words had to be written across multiple criteria and 14 evidence attachments prepared. There is a better way.
Section51 had been engaged by a number of councils for up to 12 months before BBRF4 opened. With the long lead time, we were able to complete up to 60% of the application and evidence attachments prior to the opening date of 14th November. We can do the same for your council, not only for BBRF applications, but for multiple different projects and grant programs. The process following Section51 engagement includes:
When the grant program opens, Section51 continues to work in partnership with council to complete the remaining writing, evidence attachments and the online form. Following council review and sign off, your application is then submitted. The longer lead time enables a smooth and relatively stress free process with a strong and fully compliant application that maximizes the opportunity for success.

- In-house workshop setting out funding opportunities, project selection and method.
- Application template prepared for each project based on the Section51 extensive data base of Australian and State Government Grant programs.
- Review of your project against the templates and expected criteria and evidence attachments. Work program prepared based on the review.
- Work in partnership with your project manager, architects, finance, engineers and other team members or consultants to fill evidence gaps.
- Prepare the application and evidence attachments for each project to the point of being ready, and on the basis that the grant program opening is ‘imminent’.
- Maintain a watching brief in anticipation of opening, including ensuring all attachments and evidence is kept up to date.

Applying
Section51 is able to come in at any stage of the grant application process and assist councils through a partnership. This may be long before the grant program opens, as shown in the portfolio, through to reviewing your written applications, and any stage in between. The process is similar to portfolio development, although in a much shorter time frame. The process following Section51 engagement includes:
The aim is to provide council with as stress free process as possible and a strong and fully compliant application that maximises the opportunity for success. When the grant program closes, Section51 maintains a watching brief on the assessment process on behalf of council.

Delivery
